Got a whiff of winter in Cedar Breaks National Monument. Although it is still Fall – in Southern Utah – snow came tumbling down. Just a few inches, blanketing the trail and the trees: stillness fills the air. Hiking in the snow – what a treat!
It’s Halloween… I realize. Which, like everything else, is a no-nonsense affair deep in the woods. Nothing but the subtle crunch-crunch-crunch under my boots and that familiar warm cozy feeling of exertion under my down coat – warm as toast!
