I've taken another leap and arrived in Xela, Guatemala. I said goodbye to my friends and family once more, it never gets easier. They say it's the people that make the place and I firmly believe that to be true.
This time around I won't be just traveling (people never really are). I'll be working towards some goals and formulating new ones, adapting to the doors that close and windows that open. Doing something like this isn't as simple and whimsical as most people believe. It takes some audacity to leave everything you have ever known behind. But more than that it takes Faith. Faith in oneself, faith in ones ability to navigate through the unknown, faith that there is something better out there and it's worth searching for.
Faith is something you cultivate, but with time and practice it emerges spontaneously when you need it most.
